Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The crispy battered fish steals the show, with locals claiming it's the best in Liverpool. The chips are perfectly golden and fluffy, pairing wonderfully with their flavorful mushy peas. Customers rave about the variety on the menu, from hearty English dishes to vibrant Chinese entrees, like the char siu satay. Affordable pricing, with main dishes averaging between £1 and £10, satisfies both the wallet and the appetite. Family-friendly features, like a kids' menu and casual dining atmosphere, make it a great spot for outings. Plus, patrons enjoy the speedy service, useful when hunger strikes. Many return for late-night food options that satisfy after a night out.

Most Disliked

The cash-only payment method can be a hassle for those who prefer card transactions. This has led to some frustration among customers who have made the trip only to find themselves needing to hunt for an ATM. Limited seating during peak dining hours can result in long waits, particularly on busy Friday nights when lines wind outside. Some diners have noted that the noise level can rise during peak times, making conversation a challenge. Additionally, on occasion, dishes may run out, especially fan favorites like specific fish fillets, due to high demand. This can leave customers disappointed if they arrive at a busy time.

It's one of the best takeaway fish and chips shops anywhere. But they only take cash, no cards.
